Nitro Pack Story
Local Ditch > Interstate '76 > Nitro Pack > Story
1976. A small band of auto-vigilantes led by Groove Champion thwarts a conspiracy to destroy the U.S. strategic oil reserve. Thrown together by tragic fate, they defeat Antonio Malochio and his army of auto-mercenaries and avenge the death of one of their own. But it didn't start there...
Return to the early 1970s. A president resigns, the U.S. is defeated in large scale war and the economy begins to crumble. As the country slides into a deep depression, crime levels rise to unfathomable heights. Villains take to their cars. As America is seized by disorder and chaos, law enforcement becomes ineffective and even corrupt. But a new breed of law is emerging...
Take on the role of veteran auto-vigilante Taurus, his partner Jade Champion, and grease monkey Skeeter in their early adventures during the rise of the auto-vigilante.
Mission Summaries
Though there are episode numbers and dates, the two aren't correlated. For the most part, there's no specific order to the missions barring Two Days Before being the last one and no Natty Dread missions appearing after Mojo Rising. Plot points from one mission are rarely referenced in another. Think of it like a syndicated TV series: The season openers and season endings might tie in to the larger overall plot, but the day-to-day episodes can run in nearly any order.

| 00 | Auto-Vigilante 101 | 1974-02-02 | Jade takes up training with Captain Taurus. Though she's an experienced racer, has already strapped guns to her 'Ranha, and has saved Taurus's life, he still shows her the ropes. |
| 16 | Foxy Cat | 1974-10-15 | Natty Dread of the Voodoo Riders has to rescue the local strip joint. The police are brutally taking down the Foxy Cat because of their close ties to auto-mercs. There's clearly no love between the police and auto-mercs here. |
| 17 | Velocity | 1974-10-28 | Taurus has to stop Whirlwind from blowing up a bus. If it goes over 55, if the wheels leave the ground, if he shoots it... BOOM! |

| 15 | Decoys | 1975-06-30 | Natty Dread's been scouting Radiator Mother. Mother plans to send out supplies to Taurus in three hearses. Two are decoys. Natty makes sure that none of them make it to their destination. |

| 12 | Allies | 1976-03-19 | Skeeter has got to rescue Taurus and Hell Toupee from inside the quarantined military complex. Reluctant again to fight, Jade convinces him he can do this. He seems to find it fun after the mission. Also, the Vigilantes have learned that military and creepers are working together. |
| 19 | Assassination | 1976-04-04 | Taurus intends to 86 a crooked CEO. Clearly Jade knows this is a bad idea. They guy runs a business, is close with the governor, has friends in big industries and is too big of a target. Yet... |
| 09 | Mojo Rising | 1976-04-05 | Skeeter has to rescue Jade after a run-in with the Voodoo Riders has left her high and dry. Natty Dread's final scene is getting pieced up by a slow-talking mechanic in a van. |

| 04 | Two Days Before | 1976-07-01 | Taurus works defense while Jade and Skeeter sneak into an airport hangar used as as staging area of a big-time auto-merc, only to discover this guy's got more guns and munitions than anyone's ever seen.
